Michael,
It was a great chase day given we covered a range of storm situations and it wasn’t such a long chase. We got anything from storm structure to lightning at night time. There was one cannon thunder! I didn’t get the bolt due to over exposure though Nick definitely got it dead centre on camera!

 Check [...]

Sounds like a great chase yesterday afternoon and evening !  Look forward to the storm images.
Spent yesterday afternoon at my father’s place installing ADSL on his PC and doing a few other jobs. David came down with me to Ballina as Alison and Katrina had gone up the coast shopping with her friend Virginia.
Was watching [...]

Michael,

They are staying with us because we are the only relatives on my fathers side within the Sydney region - my father’s sister. But her husband had relatives mostly in Melbourne.
Storms are in action today - looking for some deep atmosphere convection. It is a reasonable profile and at least the action is reasonably close.
Regards,
Jimmy [...]

Hi Jimmy - great you are able to catch up with relatives you haven’t seen for a long time. Are they staying with your family ?
Has been fairly hot here today and humid, so pretty unpleasant. Congesting cumulus about but upper levels a bit warm around this area for anything much. We’ll see what the next [...]

Michael,
Yesterday was very hot hitting 41C. Cooler today maximum anticipated to reach 34C. At least storms are on the list for the next several days to a week. I’ll see how it goes with my car.
I have relatives arriving today. These are from Malta though arrived and have stayed in Melbourne for over a month. [...]

Actually didn’t notice they were goats on first glance, but can see them now - just assumed cows
You can have the heat, enjoying the warm but not hot days here though we got to over 31 yesterday. Expecting 34 today in Lismore so we’ll see.  Nice pool weather again. Rodney came over later, [...]

Michael,
Yes the car troubles probably came about because the car is not used to 1000km/day trips perhaps. It was only driven around Sydney. It is a hassle and I hope I see the end of the unreliability so uncharacteristic of Camrys.
It is damn hot here - was 34C already by 9:30am. Now edging 39C. The [...]

Hi Jimmy - unlucky that all these car hassles are happening just after you got it - might have to take this up with the previous owners
Only got to 28 here yesterday with a fresh NE seabreeze keeping the afternoon pleasant. Pretty humid though with DPs around the 20 mark yesterday and today. [...]

Hi Michael,
Car issues not over yet. The speedometer/odemeter was supposed to be fixed. Well it was suggested it was faulty. I head out of the workshop driveway and realised I was not putting on speed! Problems still exist which leads me to believe that it could be more serious and that their fix did not [...]

Great that the car is not going to be over the top price wise to fix, though you could have done without another big expense !
Have enjoyed watching Comet McNaught the past two nights, with last night really putting on a show with a huge curved tail to the comet just before it set below [...]
