Hi Jimmy - going in Rodney’s Rav4 makes it easier on the rough roads though certainly 2WD territory as well.
Upper reaches of the Clarence River.
High country west of Tenterfield.
Thunderbolt’s lookout - huge rocks.
Me on the lookout, and view to S-SW.

Michael,
The trip sounds great - I wished I was there. You should post a picture or two.
I like trips exploring regions one normally cannot get to. And this is especially the case when it comes to regions that have storms. Lightning rods - now that suggests something!

Hi Jimmy - yes the first cooler change arrived here on Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday quite cool with drizzle patches. Back to warm and sunny today. Rodney and I took off on another road exploration of the Northern Tablelands on Sunday. Took a gravel road from near Tabulam to Legume - the Upper Clarence [...]

Michael,
This current change would not have helped the current pre-requisites for storms! Very cool in fact.
Yesterday, David Croan, Ray and myself went to the travel expo. Bit of a disappointment as our aim was to grab a bargain flight price to Dallas (Tornado Alley 2007 trip). At this point, I am still unknown as to [...]

Bit slack there Jimmy :) You could have sent some of the current instability up here as a b’day present - have not had a storm in this area since Friday 9th !! Though it is to be expected to get less events now. Not sure any of the new few days will support thunderstorms [...]

Michael,
I had not been checking the models and did not pick up the storm situation yesterday. I was at a meeting haha. Got a few lightning pictures though. Today and tomorrow, eastern NSW could be in for a few more.
This computer seems to be working quite well now. Faster than the laptop which is what [...]

Excellent - can’t wait to see the latest high quality presentation ! I have notes for a review of a previous set of DVDs that I will finish off and post on the forum soon.
Time will fly before you on your way to tornado chasing again. Meanwhile the weather remains very boring here !

Spitting out the DVDs as I type. The footage in these DVDs are mind bobbling! Incredible supercell upon supercell. The summer of 2004 / 05 was simply incredible - the best I remember. The DVDs will be released under the theme “Supercell Journey”.
Speaking of trips away, yes the countdown is on once again. We wait in anticipation!
Jimmy

Was hoping you’d get time to finish off the latest DVD set. At least the boring weather allows time for those things. A couple of showers here over night and this morning in a SE airstream. Some heavier falls in the Dorrigo area yesterday morning.
Only a couple of weeks till we have a holiday in [...]

Michael,
I agree with the continuous dull weather - altocumulus cloud cover.
Time to get some video editing in place from my end. I have the 2004-2005 DVD almost ready to release so should aim to have it ready to go this weekend. All I require is another external hard drive to release the pressure on organising [...]
