Hi Jimmy - a successful trip for you alright !  It’s great to keep up to date via the forum with what’s been going on during the US chase 2007.   I see there is a tornado watch for SW Texas this afternoon, which looks quite nice at present. Hopefully this area was in range for [...]

Michael,
Great you have settled back into the routine and enjoyed your well earned break.
My time has been spent getting some nice tornado footage added to the collection. 3 tornadoes in 5 chase days is not a bad record considerng last year was 2 tornadoes in 8 weeks! The last chase in Kansas was frustrating but [...]

Hi Jimmy - good to see you having early successes on the US chase this season. Of course I’ll have to watch what is going on from the other side of the planet again !
We all had a very enjoyable holiday in Tasmania. Just about perfect weather for it with most days mild with sunny skies. [...]

Michael,
I guess you are back and checing emails etc settling back in!
I have been busy updating the website in regards to the tornado outbreak in the Texas Panhandle. Well I was across the border in Colorado and got into position to see a fairly large wedge tornado from a rapidly rotating supercell heading towards Granada, [...]

Sorry for not writing in some time. In Texas at the moment with my hosts Tim and Kay Marshall. Went out for a chase with Tim on Friday 13th 2007 and intercepted a tornadic supercell - unfortunately our position prohibited us from observing the half mile wedge near Seymour! We then headed south to near Fort Worth [...]

At Sydney airport. 3 hours left for departure. Conditions still look good for action over the traditional southern plains - even tornadoes can be anticipated.
In the meanwhile what lies ahead is the usual long journey - the stretch to Los Angles. Once there though - it shouold be great. Nothing like sensing the Gulf Moisture return.

Well whilst Michael is in Tasmania on a family well earned vacation, my thoughts are turning to the US Tornado Alley. Goodness, 3 days remaining and I will be visiting friends in the region. It should be quite spectacular this year given the types of conditions already experienced across the plains.
At least the tickets have [...]

Michael,
I hope you and your family enjoy the trip through Tasmania! Definitely lots to see there from what others have experienced. You could also do with a hard earned break.
Countdown is on for me - if only I could get the email with ticket and details.

Hi Jimmy - there are quite large areas with clearings or even just scattered trees but the roads are limited as per usual - must be some very large land holdings by people out there.
Hope you get things sorted out with the US trip no probs. We’ve heading off to Tas in the morning so [...]

Michael, Wow! Thanks for the pictures! Certainly breathtaking views. The grazing grass area - is that common in the region or was it just a small section?
I have as you may have heard changed my trip details to the US - now leaving 11th April 2007. Of course there simply had to be a hold [...]
