Michael,
That flight represents an awesome way to fly - or should I say chase storms:) I hope I get a 40th birthday present flying in front of a tornadic supercell in the United States. Fantastic piccies there!
Yes the cold air continues to blast us and nights are cold - 4 consecutive days of frosts! I [...]

Is that unusual to get multiple births ? No wonder the ram is proud lol
I took the opportunity yesterday morning to take a one hour glider flight over the Byron area - this was a gift voucher I received for my 40th birthday back in March. The weather was calm and clear, so just about [...]

Michael,
It was cold alright! You know you have those cold winter mimimums when the landscape is white all over and the colour seems to have that light purple look to it as well. Yes -3C is the coldest morning this year following a -1.5C the previous morning. This next change should make things interesting as [...]

Hi Jimmy - easily had the coldest morning of the year here. 4 C up here on the hill at McLeans Ridges, and -2 in the lower parts including nearby Lismore. Someone rang up the radio station with a -4 which is rather cool. Looks like it only just managed to get very low overnight [...]

Michael,
It seemed to become quite cold last night - I had to add another jacket to the collection of worn clothes haha. It was one of those nights where mis-timing of the atmospheric conditions leading to the cooling processes gave the impression that it would be a severe frost. This is despite the fact that frost [...]

Hi Jimmy, Mild sunny days persist here after some windy conditions earlier in the week. We have a grand total of zero mm this month ! The dry conditions in this part of the world continue. Been great for the school holidays of course.
Models are tipping yet another cold outbreak Tues/Wed next week. Moisture looks [...]

Michael,
We did not end up visiting the warship. David made a good point - you cannot go on them. It was very a misleading act by the media filming from the ship giving the impression like other times you could go on the battleship. So we gave it a miss.
Cloudy here this morning with some [...]

Hi Jimmy - did you end up seeing the warship ? Looked very impressive on the TV news.
Rodney and I had the opportunity for another snow dash to the Northern Tablelands. It certainly turned out awesome with an afternoon of convective snow showers dumping 4-5cm on snow on the high ground around Guyra and Ben [...]

Michael,
Sorry. Have been busy lately.
Yes certainly looks like a nice snow event even here in the Central Tablelands but an overnight special. I did not head up was content with the daytime even a couple of days back!
I am tossing between meeting with David Croan here or heading in to the city to see the [...]

The situation has improved for Northern Tablelands snow with all of Sunday likely to see snow showers on high ground, but particularly during the afternoon and early evening when 850 temps are a bit lower. Moisture levels decrease during the later evening and I can’t stay the night anyway as have work first thing Monday morning. [...]
