Michael,
You are not wrong about La Nina - the pattern is well in place. We have had persistent onshore winds for more than two weeks and this includes widespread thunderstorms on a daily basis across various parts of NSW. I chased on several of those days and got hailstones on most of those chase days. [...]

Hi Jimmy,
Weather conditions are remaining persistently uninteresting here on the Northern Rivers with onshore winds dominating with temps around the mid 20s just about every day. Last Thursday we did manage to see some weakening storms with a little lightning, but it was soon back to onshore flow with scatterred cumulus and isolated showers. GFS [...]

Michael,
I have had some half decent chases of late despite the poor shear aloft. One of the best days with just slightly improved shear within the period was the 19th November chase event listed at the following link:

Thanks for the comments in regards to myself and Imelda. I showed [...]

Quite a contrast in the weather this week with much cooler conditions thanks to a large high pressure system directing generally southerly winds on to the coast here. Upper troughs inland have let to a lot of mid and high level cloud drifting across. Combined with the coastal cloud and showers temperatures have struggled into [...]

Hi Jimmy,
Yes - have let this go over the past two weeks. Have not needed to say much given you have been in the area, and staying right here many days - certainly been great to catch up properly and enjoy some storm chasing together too ! Today is a nice change to cooler weather [...]

Michael,
It has been a long time on here between drinks:) Well, let’s see. I have been to the Philippines, back, up the coast with your family as well as work commitments, got engaged and then lucky enough to top that week off with a tornado! Holy crap!
I decided to propose to Imelda given the distance [...]
